Showed up to peaceful protest on Friday 5/29. I was meeting up with friends in front of the courthouse. Around 8pm and without warning, Clinton street started filling up with smoke from teargas canisters. I went to my car to get a case of water to aid in hydrating and rinsing protesters eyes as we ran from the constant barrage of teargas being shot as us even as we retreated. The police advanced on us and shot teargas at anyone they saw in groups larger than 10 people.
