On afternoon of May 30th myself and 4 or 5 others (who i don’t know) were on the corner by the courthouse waiting to cross the street. While we were standing there waiting for the signal, a FWPD SUV came around the corner very quickly and the officer on the back passenger side rolled down his window and maced us. The protest had already moved to the bridge by that time, so downtown was mostly clear and free of protesters, with the exception of a few stragglers. No warning, no reason, nothing. None of us saw it coming. They just turned the corner and kept driving. The only thing I remember after that is not being able to breathe or see for several minutes. Afterward, I marched to the bridge where police had already been gassing people and shooting rubber bullets. While there, I was gassed twice and I’m lucky to not have taken a rubber bullet that day.
