I was in the parking lot nearest to Wendy’s downtown. I was holding a Black Lives Matters sign. I was not bothering anyone, cursing at anyone, or breaking anything. I came for a PEACEFUL protest. Then a black SUV of some kind pulled around in the parking lot and about 8 officers jumped out of the vehicle and starting darting at me and a young lady whom had asked me to take her to her car (which was parked at the downtown park). We jumped into my car to try and get away but, it was not worth trying to escape, they were surrounding my car. I had not done anything, they dragged me and the lady out of my car and arrested us for PEACEFULLY protesting, away from other protestors. I was arrested on Saturday, may 30th around 9:50. I was not told or neither did I know about a “curfew”.
